It has now been 14 months since my stay at The Raleigh House, and I’m grateful to say I am still sober. I’m writing this review to help others make informed decisions when choosing a treatment facility. During my time there, I felt that some members of the clinical staff responded negatively when I decided to leave the program about a week earlier than planned. I was told that leaving early would almost certainly lead to relapse, which felt discouraging rather than supportive. My experience was that questioning treatment dec... read more

Following my stay at the Raleigh House I “didn’t drink” for six months. “Didn’t drink” in parentheses because I did drink as much near beer as I used to drink real beer. I was supposed to receive a medication to help with cravings but it was never available. Because of the expense of drinking non beer or mocktails in alcoholic proportion I eventually rolled back to my staple, lite beer. I continue to search for a good therapist… I had hoped to leave rehab with at least some recommendations. Their ONLY recommendation was to s... read more

Update; following my stay at the Raleigh House I “didn’t drink” for six months. “Didn’t drink” in parentheses because I did drink as much near beer as I used to drink real beer. I searched for a therapist and had several first sessions that didn’t pan out. I’m currently approaching three weeks sober. I’m writing this review to hopefully help others when choosing rehab options. In retrospect, I didn’t belong in an inpatient facility. I didn’t need to be drug tested and denied sugar and caffeine. All of the courses, AA, NA, CA... read more

My experience AT Raleigh House was excellent. Therapists were great, most of the groups were great, food is good if you're not picky like me. Good place...until the discharge. I was told one thing about my discharge, but another happened. Instead of what I was told, I was essentially dumped in a hospital that wouldn't admit me and told I wasn't guaranteed the treatment Raleigh House promised I would receive. I'm scared and I don't know what's going to happen to me next
