This was not nearly the “life changing” experience that I needed it to be. I did not receive any diagnosis here so they just grouped me with the “addicts”. (they literally separated us into two groups for some of the sessions, mental health and addicts). Many of the group sessions were not very relevant to me. The clinical staff is spread pretty thin between the two camps here in Watkins. While we weren’t allowed gluten or sugar, vaping was practically encouraged. It has now been 16 months since my stay at The Raleigh House, and I’m grateful to say I am still sober. I’m writing this review to help others make informed decisions when choosing a treatment facility. During my time there, I felt that some members of the clinical staff responded negatively when I decided to leave the program about a week earlier than planned. At 59 years old, nearing retirement, my kids almost grownups I decided to do something for myself. My experience AT Raleigh House was excellent. Therapists were great, most of the groups were great, food is good if you're not picky like me. Good place...until the discharge. My discharge did not go as planned and was an extremely traumatic experience. I don't lay full responsibilty on Raleigh House for everything that happened, but they do bear some responsibilty.
