I was here for mental health, not addiction. Pros: - The location is very nice, just like in the pictures. - The staff is friendly and competent. - You get a lot of individual care in addition to the group therapy. - The food is pretty good. Cons: - You only get your phone for one hour per day, so there's not much to do during spare time except socialize. Edit: It's super disheartening to me to read recent reviews on here from others who have also experienced being held hostage by this place. When I told them I wanted to leave early to attend a facility that better suited my needs, they gaslit me and my loved ones to try and convince them that I would only succeed if I stayed at The Raleigh House. I hoped this would be so much more. I feel like I was mostly overlooked here. Three weeks in and we hadn’t even touched on any of the methods to manage stress/ anxiety. Many of the group sessions were completely irrelevant to me. I would see some of the therapists and upper staff checking in on people outside of their one hour therapy session, seeing how they were dealing with the latest technique they were working on or monitoring their latest prescription dosage… The only drug I was prescribed was never in. The therapy was as revelatory as it was intensive. The staff was kind and knowledgeable and made me feel cared for as an individual.
I cannot in good conscience recommend The Raleigh House to anyone in need of addiction treatment. The facility is deeply flawed in nearly every aspect, from its approach to care to the lack of genuine support offered to patients. The promises made during the intake process are not at all reflective of the reality upon arrival. The staff seems poorly trained and unqualified for the vital work they claim to be doing.
