Austin's Best (and Oldest) quilt shop – Love the selection. Everything ya need, nothing you don't. Wide selection of fabric styles, from modern batiks, retro 30's, solids (Kona and others), brights (Kaffe Facett), Civil War, etc. All organized by color. Plenty of notions, books and patterns occassional great deals, with a "back room" of sale fabrics. Always friendly, but never hovering. Snooty Salespeople, Beautiful Batik Fabrics – Every time I go to the Quilt Store on Anderson Lane I wish I hadn't. They have a gorgeous selection of batik fabrics and beyond. But... my positive experience ends there. They are not friendly or helpful. When I tried to ask the women there some questions, she was not forthgiving and really not nice.
