An excellent, full-service hospital. Staff is friendly and more importantly knowledgeable and experienced. I've used their facility for emergencies, general surgeries, physical therapies and maintenance check ups. All my experiences have been positive, professional. I'm confident that I am getting the best care.

Went in for my mid-ultrasound (20 weeks) and was treated with much disrespect! First of all the ultrasound tech did not make me feel comfortable .. she did the whole ultrasound without talking to me! The ER Department at this hospital is severely lacking. Other reviewers have commented on the same department of this hospital. They might send you home with the common cold or an non-life threatening ailment, even if you have a terminal disease such as cancer or ... read more

One star is still too high. If you have a child, take them to Kapiolani Medical Center. Unfortunately for us, the ambulance service said that it was beyond their district and that we could transfer once we get to Hawaii Medical Center West - but that didn't happen. Background History: My young child was unresponsive and turning blue at the water park - not from drowning but from a medical condition. The ambulance showed up and took my child to HMCW. During the ride to the hospital, the EMTs got my child's O2 level back up to... read more

Here on the Neighbor Islands we pray they'll airlift us to Queens if we ever have a serious medical problem. Our local hospitals can't handle anything more than a broken limb or sniffles. The REAL doctors and medical care is at Queens!
