I had a disappointing experience at The Quays leisure centre today. Upon entering, I noticed ongoing work being done upstairs, which resulted in a thick fog of dust and a strong smell of fumes. The air quality was poor, and I was coughing in the changing rooms, along with many other members who seemed to be affected. Warning: Unsafe & Uncaring Environment for Women, old tired dirty pool and changing areas. Over crowded, expensive and horrible. My friend and I were forced to abandon our membership at Quays Leisure Centre due to the recent unacceptable and escalating intimidating behavior from large groups of men in the pool area. If I could leave zero stars I would. I mainly used this club for swimming but did use the gym occasionally. The gym has been recently refurbished and the new machines ate top notch. Thats where the good points end I'm afraid. The changing rooms and toilets are disgusting. Mold everywhere. They smell. My partner tells me the men's are 10 times worse. A man walked into the women's changing room, my Mrs told the man he can not be there and the guy said he can use both changing rooms. I also explained to a member of staff and he was not helpful at all and said he can't do anything about it which i dont think is fair. I don't recommend this gym to anyone especially Muslim people who dont want females to be in the same changing room as men.👎🏻
