Food is magical, For me to give 5 stars is very rare! Place is st8 fire!
The food is amazing and the vibe is nice. The only problems is have with this place is the organization. They do not do a wait list. And the hostess had to ask multiple different people who was next which that can create a mess if someone lies. The sitting area only has 3 seats with no a/c or even a fan. So while you wait for 30mins you work up a good sweat. And you can not stand inside because it is tight. Other than those 2 issues place is amazing. The atmosphere and staff were great! It is a small bar/resturant but had the atmosphere of a little hidden speak-easy. My shrimp and grits were excellent. Not too spicy. The fried okra is to die for. Definitely wil get that again. My wife had the steak and fries, and it did not disappoint! Our cocktails were well made and enjoyable. When I go back I'm either going to try the oysters or blacken snapper. Definitely get there early because seating is limited. You will not regret going there with friends or a date night.
What a find, tucked away, in true New Orleans alley style. It's dark and polished in a way of a new restaurant that hasn't quite been broken in yet. Our service was excellent, attentive but not overly. We got the seasoned boiled shrimp to start, was excellent and a huge portion.
