I rarely post negative reviews. I hope this is helpful. I would agree with most other reviewers that KKJ is extremely biased towards mothers. This should be considered if any father is considering using her as a mediator/PC, you’ll likely be positioned at the losing end of all discussions. This is unfortunate as it is so important that both parents remain involved as harmoniously as possible in children’s lives. My experience with KKJ was deeply concerning. The evaluation process involved unexplained delays that my personal therapist noted were highly unusual. When the final report was delivered, I discovered that it had little resemblance to what I had reported or documented. Many of my statements were rewritten, reinterpreted, or omitted entirely, resulting in a narrative that excluded any meaningful discussion of abuse, repeated physical assaults, sustained harassment, or being intentionally kept awake late into the night. I sought services for my LGBTQ+ daughter expecting evidence-based, affirming care. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Rather than providing support consistent with current professional standards, the therapist framed my daughter’s identity in a way that felt questioning and redirective, closely resembling conversion-style counseling. I retained KKJ to perform a custody evaluation. I experienced problems with their handling of evidence, inconsistent weighting of information, and evaluator bias. I am deeply concerned because the evaluation by KKJ creates additional barriers for addressing my children’s most basic needs—safety and security.
