With no receptionist on site, waited at clinic for over an hour only to find that booking had not been made due to "clerical error". Several months later was running ten minutes late for an appointment, and was given the option of paying full fees (no Medicare rebate) or cancel appointment. Cancellation fees of $110 charged. Invoice contains reference of right to employ debt collectors. Raised issue with "client carer", only to be told that their past error does not override the cancellation policy. I received unsatisfactory service. To clarify, if you possess pertinent information or documentation regarding your child's diagnosis, a psychologist's consultation may be unnecessary. My pediatrician confirmed that such consultations are often an unnecessary expense—a lesson I learned firsthand. After two sessions with a psychologist, my son's diagnosis was obtained from a pediatrician prior to the psychologist completing a report.
