1 STAR BUT SHOULD BE ZERO STARS — Buyers Beware I purchased a Bontrager Line Pro 30 carbon 29" mountain bike wheelset from The Pro’s Closet for my race bike. These are top tier carbon wheels, and on only my second ride, the rim catastrophically failed. There is a clean separation and crack where the sidewall meets the inner flange. Bontrager wheels normally come with a lifetime warranty, but NOT if you buy them from The Pro’s Closet. The bikes I’ve purchased have been in excellent condition regardless of how much I paid.
AVOID and do the research into their historical financial and legal issues. Initial encounter was seemingly positive. Follow-up trips a completely avoidable waste of time and effort. Simply said, Jon Gage lied to my face, not to mention contradicting himself multiple times when corresponding. No surprise PC lost its court cases and went bankrupt under his leadership.
Pro's Closet offers first class customer service. When I realized the bike was a few year's older than the description online, I reached out. JP responded within an hour and quickly offered a significant sum of money to make things right. Very impressed! Love the Gazelle Ultimate C380. The bike came in immaculate condition and is an absolute joy to ride.
