I dropped off my 770 for a problem which is covered under warranty. I also had them add the free update and paid for the upGRADE. I asked them to install each if there is no charge to do so. I was told there is no charge to install either. I should have a zero balance because the problem is a warranty issue. I was told I have a $50 balance. I asked what the $50 is for and was told it's for installing the update. I told her I was told the update is FREE. I'm a long time owner of Bernina products and I know the update is FREE! Then she told me the $50 was for fixing the problem...but the problem is covered under warranty....AND the update fixed the problem. So I'm still wondering why I have a $50 balance. Then she told me it was for installing the upgrade and I again told her I was told installation is FREE!! She went to get the service tech who said the charge is correct and she had to stitch out a sample and use supplies, etc. Finally the sales lady took off the $50 charge and the service tech stomped her feet back to her back room saying "I guess my time isn't worth anything". This kind of customer service is ridiculous!! They were trying to get an additional $50 from me for nothing. They could never come up with a legitimate explanation for the $50 charge!! The majority of time I've done business with them the customer service has been very poor and the staff are rude and unfriendly. I like to give them the benefit of the doubt, everyone has a bad day. Time and time again they have treated me like this. BEWARE of unexplained charges!!

The Presser Foot The Presser Foot is a locally owned shop carrying Bernina sewing machines, sewing notions and embroidery supplies. I visited this shop in search of thread and was very pleased at the assortment of both threads and stabilizers and other embroidery machine supplies available. They seem to almost exclusively carry Bernina supplies, however, so if you are looking for specific supplies for another brand of machine you may not find them here. The workers on the day I visited were very friendly and I was able to sign up for a newsletter which is mailed out that I have really enjoyed. I find their pricing to be standard.
