As far as I know it’s the only convenience store, post office, tackle shop and souvenir shop in Thorne Bay. If you’re in town you’ll have to go there, even if you don’t have to you still should just to get some local experience. The owner is a local fishing guide and the lures and tackle that he carries is the same equipment that he uses on his boat. I have fished with him and can tell you from personal experience that is one of the best in Thorne Bay. If he’s using the tackle then it works so you might as well pick some up.... read more
Great little gas station and also holds the Thorne Bay post office inside it, a couple of outdoor seating areas on the back deck, overlooking the bay and right off the deck is the boat dock/fueling area which is also where Taquan Air can pick you up /drop off mail to post office.
The Port is where to go for gas, mail, and really good coffee.
Fantastic area. Nice people. Will be going back. :-)
