So me and my Amish Friends paid $640 for 3 days and 2 night at the bed and breakfast. 1st night was fine morning of the 2nd day not so great. We were told to take our shoes off and be quiet it was still sleep time. Like we were children. The whole point of staying here was so my Amish friend who has Alpha gal could prepare food in the kitchen the host was aware of it before we arrived the 2nd night got in late from conference and were told we needed to finish up the host wanted her floor back. Excuse me we paid $640 for the ... read more

Nice folks, Nice place. I spent a few days here at the end of October, generally to relax for a while. It is a very quiet area, just outside of Jamesport, 4 miles +/-. For the Astro Photog’s out there, very crisp Bortle 3 skies. The best I’ve seen since I was a kid. I had some Skywatcher mount issues with my SCT, but still worth the trip. In my spare time, I ate at some of the restaurants (Gingerich/Country Cupboard) in town, went to the deal stores (Beechy’s is a couple miles away), and finished things off at the Jamesport ... read more

Delightful stay at The Porch near Jamesport. The porch is wonderful, with gorgeous flowers, a wooden porch swing, and friendly dogs. Our favorite was the super comfy beds. The location is perfect for a day trip to Jamesport, for antiquing and shopping. Don’t miss H & M for country goods and Countryside Bakery for delicious pastries and homemade bread. Thank you, Lori and John, for a relaxing stay!

My family and I stayed at Lori and John’s lovely accommodations this weekend while my son was being married in Jamesport. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and cozy (with great pillows!). The sitting area was great for relaxing between trips to our venue. Lori made a delicious breakfast for us Saturday morning and was pleasant to chat with. Will definitely look forward to returning for some R&R. ♥️
