Wife made an appointment online days beforehand. We show up at the building, and she gets a text to check in. She checks in via text, and we sit and wait in the waiting room. 30 minutes later, still waiting. She goes up to the front desk to see what’s taking so long. She was then told she has to ALSO fill out some white form in addition to checking in online. No one told us this. There was no mention of this in the text. No signs saying this either. Ended up waiting over an hour even with an appointment. FIX THE SYSTEM

Be aware that now as of July 26th 2026 you have to make an appointment to get labs done; that was a big surprise to me as I got no notification of that and I get routine labs. The appointments were booked up at Madison Center and I had to waste my time traveling to the optum Ballard lab.

Their phlebotomists are either unbelievably good or pure torture—it honestly feels like a hit-or-miss every time. They have a few truly exceptional, experienced phlebotomists (Rose, Neesha), who can find my deep, difficult veins effortlessly while also keeping me calm throughout the process. I’ve been getting labs here for a long time. My health conditions require many, many labs over the years. The wait times here are getting insane. The front desk staff seem to be getting worn down from it too. Hope they can find a solution because on top of all the other changes when they changed to polyclinic this place is turning into a bit of a disaster at every step of care. Especially the way they bill for labs . What a nightmare.
