Living at Cortland Seventy-Seven was one of the worst rental experiences I've ever had. My apartment had cockroaches, yet they still charge every tenant $8 a month for pest control that does not show up unless you specifically request it. You end up paying for absolutely nothing while still dealing with bugs. The office made everything worse. I'm going into my third year and i have had some positive interactions, specifically with the custodial staff. My experience with Charity as a property manager has been extremely disappointing. She is consistently rude, unprofessional, and difficult to communicate with. Rather than resolving issues or offering support, she often makes situations more frustrating. I have been living at this apartment community for more than 5 years. Management team that time was courteous and prompt to take action. We initially ran into several pest issues and infestations and the management team was quick to take care of that. Lately management and customer service has taken a down turn, and is at its worst. The apartments don’t have a mail hub for package delivery so that means packages are delivered to the leasing office or at your front door. This is going on my fifth year residing at Cortland 77. There have been ups and downs to that experience. However, working with Charity (5 stars), Experience Manager, is always a good experience!! She has a relatable personality, making issues manageable and always pleasant with a genuine demeaner. Extremely pro-active at following up and making sure all questions are addressed and answered.
