A year ago, I signed a lease for an apartment. I could not see the unit until the move-in date. I moved in only to find that it was located just yards away from rail tracks that are used 24/7 by Amtrak, WMATA and freight trains. I complained to management and was offered another apartment on the other side of the building. I signed a new lease—again, without being able to see the unit beforehand. I’ve lived here for about a year and honestly have no complaints. The building is well-maintained, the staff is fantastic, and it’s truly been a pleasure to call this place home. I’m sad to be moving, but the rent has simply become more than I can afford at this time. Hopefully, I’ll have the chance to return in the future.
