We were upstairs and came for drinks. The bartender was great with prompt friendly service and extensive cocktail knowledge. The pianist was talented and social and took requests. All around great experience. We will be back.
Great dining experience. The food was unique and excellently prepared. Perfect proportions. The atmosphere is very relaxed. Brian is an excellent, competent waiter.
We started with the crab appetizer. Then filet mignon and steak frites. It was definitely not filet mignon. It was stingy and tough. The steak was not cooked how it was ordered by any means. That was unchewable and could barely cut it. Food was extremely disappointing. Ended up getting FOOD POISONING. Was throwing up all night. We sat in the treehouse area upstairs. Got the ricotta appetizer then the beet salad - both were very good. The servers were very attentive without being disruptive. The Piano Bar aspect was a lot of fun.
Clearly this place is generally very good but we had a pretty terrible experience from top to bottom on Memorial Day weekend. Our server was friendly and warned us basically right away that they were short staffed and had a new bartender, which kind of set the tone for the evening. First off, Sunday is normally their Italian night menu (and their regular menu isn’t offered). Since it was a holiday Sunday, we weren’t sure whether it would be the Italian menu or the regular menu.
