silly me I thougt a balcony would be higher.. After researching for hours and finally settling on a river view balcony room, I thought that's what we would have. Paid extra for the balcony. Only to be on the sidewalk right outside the pool with everyone walking by. Another guest also paid for a balcony room only to be 12 feet from the hot tub. Which only has hot water, no jets. The new owners have decided that changing the website to say balcony patio room will work.
Near Whitefish shopping and restaurants. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
This hotel was very well located, an hour from Glacier, 20 minutes from Kalispell and Flathead Lake, minutes from downtown Whitefish, and under an hour from multiple national forests and Indian reservations. It also had great amenities; free breakfast, free kayak and canoe rentals with a dock in the back thay went along Whitefish River, a nice indoor/outdoor pool. This Hotel has big changes coming up in remodels. They completed phase one (Lobby) by the time we got there and I heard they will start phase two in the fall. It was overall a great experience for our stay. We liked the pool, distance from town, and the kayak/paddle board amenities. However even once the room remodels and hallways are complete I’m not sure what the solution is to the floor noise. You can easily hear people walking on the floor above you.
Our room was comfy and spacious. Free use of kayaks, laundry & game room. Staff were very friendly & welcoming.
