I was introduced to pickleball a little over two years ago and was overjoyed to hear Williamsburg was getting an indoor Picklr facility last April. I joined immediately at opening in April 2025 and was welcomed by the most kind staff and clean facility I could have asked for. I’ve been a regular at this pickleball facility for five months now. While I’ve met some great people, the overall atmosphere is quite unpleasant. Firstly, the open play courts are not skill-regulated. It’s not uncommon to wait 25-30 minutes to play on an advanced court and end up paired with a beginner. While everyone in the Pickleball community should be open to playing with all skill levels, there is limited time in the day and some days I want some stimulating game play at the advanced level.
