Stay away!! While the bar staff is excellent, the owner is a piece of work. It's definitely a regulars bar and they aren't particularly fond of newbies- and if you're a cop, or in law enforcement of any kind, you're definitely not welcome. The owner will do any and everything in his power to make sure the cops aren't anywhere near the bar- I wonder why... perhaps because of the sketchy antics that occur there? Great food, atmosphere. Easily the best drink and beer specials in the area.
One of my favorite bars in North Raleigh. Great place to get the local feel. Awesome food and very friendly staff. The menu is huge with a little of everything and it all taste great. Best Ribeye sandwich I've ever had. Plenty of tvs to watch sports and great entertainment on the weekends plus an outdoor patio that is dog friendly. Not sure about the bad reviews below but I know this place has made great efforts over the past few years to enhance the customers experience. I highly recommend.
Great Ruben and great burgers. The fare is reasonable in price and very tasty. Not sure about the other crappy reviews. perhaps they haven't been here for a while
Went to Picked today, the new menu is fantastic. I had the blackened tuna sammich... AWESOME!!! The buffalo shrimp were perfectly cooked and the sauce was spiced just right. Our server was Andrea and she was GREAT!
The guy who bartends on Sundays is RUDE! He is nice to the regulars that he seems to stay an drink with after his shift, but other than that he not very concerned with making anyone else happy. The tall girl that usually works with him is great! Ask for her!
Greasy food, lousy service.
I have always enjoyed the pickle onion. The food is always good and the drinks are tasty. And 15 tvs is awesome for a neighborhood bar.
Rude waitress – Wow, I just got back from this place and the waitress yelled at me! No kidding! She's short, dark, thin, long hair... I went inside (from the courtyard) to use the bathroom, and no one was inside. A waiter said I could cut thru the bar area, and so I did. After, I went back the same way, and she yelled at me! Trying not to make a scene, I ignored her, and she yelled two more times at me! Couldn't believe it.
