We lucked out with a table facing the river outside on a perfect late summer afternoon. Fried pickles and the cornbread to start (both delicious), and I ordered the Redfish which came served on a bed of parsnip puree and carrots. Delicious meal (my fellow diners all enjoyed their entrees as well -one Cuban sando and the hangar steak). Would definitely recommend. Docked one star on service for drinks that arrived after the entrees, though comp’d.
Great atmosphere Place has been a longtime favor for my wife and I. However, I believe the food has gone down downhill. I got the skirt steak with kimchi rice, and he literally put buffalo sauce on it, which I thought ruined the Dish. Not sure why they change that, Also, my wife got the salmon. It was very mediocre. I feel like restaurants go through this phase of taking their clients for granted and I feel like Pearl is now one of them. The oysters are really fresh and good though!
Went there for lunch on a Saturday. Jordan was our server and he did a great job. I got the new fish roll sandwich that came with fries. It was tasty. My friend got the shrimp and grits. We were "clean-plater's". We also got the blueberry donut appetizers. They were good, would have been perfect if blueberry was in the donuts as well as the blueberry sauce on the side. The cream cheese icing was good pairing with the blueberry donuts and sauce.
