This is a terrible place to live—do not move here under any circumstances. The rent is extremely high for such an old and poorly maintained property. Things are constantly breaking, and maintenance takes far too long to respond. For example, we had to wait an entire month just to get our sink fixed. The maintenance staff themselves are kind and do their best when they arrive, but there simply aren’t enough workers to handle the needs of the buildings. This has become embarrassing. I had guests over that are working maintenance and janitorial jobs and they saw these halls ways tonight and asked what this is, if we had people working here or not. You guys are so quick to point out something on balconies that is so irrelevant but don't have anyone to clean hall ways even once a month. Our hall has not been cleaned or vacuumed for days. Hello Brookfield Property Management 1) Emergency maintenance failure — no hot water for one month For approximately one month during winter, my unit did not have reliable hot water. I submitted repeated requests through the resident app (as the onsite office instructed), but I either received no response or the requests were incorrectly marked “completed” even though the issue was not fixed. It's shocking and appalling how poorly run this building has been. The infestation of EVER-PRESENT ROACHES is beyond disgusting - be ready to spray your unit weekly/bi-weekly to try to keep them out as much as possible. Do not lease a unit on first floor, as I've seen rats inside/outside of the building. Work orders are usually closed without addressing the issue, or without providing updates.
