As someone who lives nearby, I really appreciate finding a spot that always delivers, and The Parlay does just that. I went in for happy hour and tried the fish and chips. They were outstanding. The fish tasted fresh and had a perfect crispy coating, and the fries were just as tasty. The happy hour deals made everything an even better value. Beat thing on the menu is plain French fries, nice crisp, not too salty. Takos are crap, two day old beef marinaded in red wine, gritty texture iffy taste. Mac and cheese is reported by others to be delicious. Just can't get past the appearance, looks like commit. Smash burger is overly salty and beef tastes old. Additionally it tastes like they are depending on the onions salt and garlic, when beef should be the focus. Very sad, had great recommendations... Sad to write this. Do better, please.

Visited recently with young kids during a family trip to Maui. Had high expectations based on the reviews, but left disappointed. If you're visiting with small children, I'd think twice. The place is not particularly family-friendly and the service was the biggest letdown. We had to get up multiple times to ask for basic things like cutlery and plates — no one checked on us once during our entire meal. The food was below average. Nothing came close to justifying the hype from the reviews.
