The food there is good but the price is that they’re now charging will never be in there again they wanted $20 for a pulled pork sandwich with slaw and onion rings. I guess I’ll go to the little pig.
We don’t usually eat out much when we’re visiting the upstate, but we decided to stop by The Porkette on a whim—and we’re really glad we did. My wife and I split the lunch sampler, and everything we tried was solid. The dry rub wings and the jalapeño sausage were definite standouts—both easily A+. On top of the great food, the staff was super friendly and helpful, which made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.
I have driven by this restaurant for a couple years since I retired to South Carolina. Finally had a chance to try it. Fabulous half slab of ribs. Now that my cholesterol and blood pressure is back up to questionable levels I will be back!
First time visitor - I love the name. It was lunchtime, and I was starving. I ordered ribs, fried okra, collards, cornbread, and banana pudding. For good measure, I added jalapeño cheese smoked sausage just in case the serving sizes were small. Oh my gosh. I couldn’t believe my eyes. They brought my food out on two trays.
