I often visit Morningside of Newport News and always find the staff to be very caring and respectful of the residents there. The staff knows everyone by name and important happenings in the residents lives, which impresses me and I'm sure make the residents feel special. The activity director is fantastic and the meals have always been terrific. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

The facility is like a hotel, very nice atmosphere, some of the staff is very nice while others seem to be annoyed being there but the pricing is very high compared to other facilites and the food is served at very small portions so I would highly recommend keeping your loved ones refrigerator full. A bit disappointed given the prices charged for their facility

I and my husband were to stay one night to try out the Fountain View and are both are in wheelchairs and I have a service dog. Things management reviewed with us in our initial meeting: Scooters are not permitted on the covered-bridges in the complex, unless it is raining; We will have to get liability insurance for the scooters; They asked is my service dog would be going with us to the dining room, my husband mentioned ADA gives us the right for her to go everywhere with us & management proceeded to explain that, this is a... read more

Nothing five star about this place. The staff is great and caring but the mangers only care about the seniors money. Dietary are always running out of food. The residents are being charged for toilet paper. The Executive Director is a snake! The treated my father finace situation horrible after he died.

I would not recommend having your loved one stay at Morningside in the West End. Our first hint of a problem was on move in day. Morningside was not prepared and did not have everything needed to ensure the proper care of our loved one. The staff was not responsive to the residents needs. They let our loved one suffer needlessly because of their lack of attentiveness. Hospice left specific directions for the nursing staff which they did not follow. Dr. Furguson is seriously a great veterinarian. He and his staff are so caring toward the animals and they provide great service here getting my pets in and out while doing a thorough job on their checkups.

I feel very grateful to have such a great Animal Hospital close to me with a talented staff. We have been taking our dog there for 3 years now but last month our dog ended up choking on one of his toys,obstructing his breathing tremendously so we rushed him to Dr. Fergurson and he was able to get it out. It could have been very bad but we are so thankful to have a place that can take care of emergency situations like that.

For about 6 years now we have used Dr. Ferguson as our vet for our Newfoundland Jack. We have been lucky that Jack has not needed to go to the vet for any serious issues and just for regular check ups and shots. Though we are confident that they would be able to help if we had any issues. He is very knowledgeable and we have called with questions in the past and they always got back to us if we didn't get an answer right away. They are really great!
