The short time my aunt lived there was not a positive one. They went through 2 administrators. The person who worked in the front office was very rude and argumentative, They also went through three director of nurses. Staff ran out the door. They staff that stayed seemed unhappy. The food is bad. The food was all prepackaged food. There are so many residents that should be in a nursing home. That those residents who can do for themselves get neglected. Do not work there and do not move a family member there.
This is a horrible place to work. One will be fired on a whim. And when one is fired they are fired over the phone. This is a very unprofessional place. Do not work there and do not move a loved one in.
The facility is understaffed, the DON is the most unprofessional manager you could work under. I wouldn't encourage anyone to put their dogs under her care.
During a recent weekend visit to the memory care unit no attendant was present during my ninety minute stay.She did walk through (literally) twice and show up at shift end.Other than that the residents were ignored.I attended to my spouse's bathroom requirements.I'm disturbed by this admittedly unusual occurrence and wonder if there is any supervision on weekends or week days.There were two nurses in their office but they were apparently oblivious to any problem.I hope management will take notice of my comments and take acti... read more
I'll never be grateful enough to the Gardens of Western Reserve for their care of my mother who has Alzheimer's. How do you do it? This journey is never easy for the resident or the caregiver, but the support, understanding and flexibility they showed me along the way makes visiting my mother a joy. My family thinks of the facility as a second home -- this is such a blessing, especially to my nine-year-old daughter who watched my mother transition into this new chapter of her life during the last five years. My mom lives at Foxbridge. We are very happy with the care. The cottage set up is great for mom and has increased her health and socialability.
