Great place to stay. I have been staying here for years and have never had a problem. Lately I have had to cancel my trip twice due to weather and my cancelations were handled with understanding and grace. The owners are great people.
Wow super big rooms and a quiet location.
Everything about clean, quiet and quaint is true and usually I'm very good with that. However they roll up the sidewalks at 5 so no food, no drink no nothing and usually I'm good with that too but this time with little to do at 8 I wanted to watch the Olympics but the TV didn't work. Two calls and messages got no response. No big deal again except if it had been an emergency I would have been ______ out for luck. No call back from Patty the next day to see how I was doing or to apologize. Poor service.
A friend and I were in the area to explore the Oregon Dark Sky Sanctuary (google it, it really exists!) and stopped here for one night to do some photography in the Fremont National Forest. We stayed at the Sage and all I can say is "wow." Great room. It's obvious that the owner and cleaning staff take pride in providing a special experience so far off the beaten path. This place is ADORABLE! The master suite B has a side entrance that's right next to a babbling brook/ water outlet.
