We absolutely felt welcome at The Pacific Motel. Our room was immaculate and comfy, and every person we encountered exhibited warm and friendly energy. Fun features like a fire pit, ping pong table and shave ice truck grace the grounds, which were were also immaculate as well as landscaped beautifully with a magical mix of diverse succulents.
Amazing gem amid a small, casual town filled with subpar lodgings. The overall vibe was great as was the service. The room was modern, up-to-date everything from AC, ceiling fan and huge TV. I liked the local soaps - hardly the industrial made stuff chain hotels use. However, my room didn't have a chair which made working/video calls difficult by taking one of the outdoor chairs from the picnic area. What a gem! Upon check-in, we felt immediately welcomed and knew it would be a great stay. There’s nothing cookie cutter to be found here. There were thoughtful touches throughout the spacious room, with unique choices of toiletries and snacks. Also great coffee and wine selections in the lobby/bar! Hands down, best night’s sleep as well! And the whole town of Cayucos is just really charming! We would stay here again and again and again.
We had an unforgettable stay at The Pacific Motel in Cayucos. I visited with my significant other and our mutual best friend, and from the moment we arrived, everything was top-notch. As someone who spends 150+ nights a year in Marriott hotels, getting to spend a few nights a week in a clean, comfortable, independently owned place is a very welcome change. The Pacific Motel staff are super friendly, the room was exceptionally clean, and the bed more comfortable than any of the ones I’ve slept in at the chain hotels. As an early riser, my only wish would have been to have an in-room coffee maker instead of waiting for local shops to open or the (delicious) coffee in the lobby to be ready at 7:30 am.
