Such a stunning place—words hardly do it justice. Currently enjoying the quiet and the rocking chairs while writing this. Nestled in the wooded hillside (yes, there are a few steps to climb, but absolutely worth it), the lodge feels like a hidden retreat. The room itself is lovely, but what truly stole my heart were the fire pit and the cozy porch. I had the best sleep of my entire trip here, and the spacious bathroom was such a nice surprise! We just returned from a 4 night stay here with our two children (2y, 5y) and had the Family Suite and it was such a lovely stay! It was our first time traveling out of state with our little ones and having the suite with 2 adjoining bunk rooms was worth its weight in gold!! We appreciated the separate space for them to unwind and the communal, well-stocked kitchen was a treat for morning coffee and feeding them outside of the restaurant scene. Beautiful property in a lovely mountain town. Lots to do right off the property. One morning, my hubby and I had breakfast at The Pantry, then stumbled upon a free bird walk. Lots of trails and a few little shops to explore. There are several tourist destinations within a 20-minute drive. It was the perfect place to stay. My only dislike is that when you check out, you leave the keys in the room and text a number that t checked out. I give the location a 4 because of only one thing: there are 47 steps from the parking lot to the rooms. While there is a place behind the lodge to drop off passengers and luggage, someone at some point has to climb the stairs. Otherwise, lovely.
