As somebody who works in a hospital I would highly recommend. The staff was incredible. Everything was extremely timely. Did not feel as though I was forgetting even though my situation was relatively minor. The clerk, nurses, techs and doctors were incredibly kind and did not seem over worked. Er was clean and well stocked with supplies. Were able to resolve my situation and have me home in less than 3 hours. Many ER’s would take 3 hours just to get you back.

The care I received was adequate. I actually went to the ER 2 days in a row. The first day, the scanner was down, which I was not told. No tests were done, nothing was really done to help me. Without relief, I had to return the next day, and pay for another visit. I waited in the waiting room for 6 hours before being seen. I was given medication that helped my symptoms, but although the staff was kind and caring, there was no one on staff who could actually address my problem. We were on vacation in Nags Head when my son was knocked over by a wave. He had a serious knee injury. The staff at Outer Banks Hospital was professional, knowledgeable and compassionate. The kindness we were shown by everyone was very important to me as we were scared and far from home.

Nice nurses....but the wsit time is beyond ridiculous. Needs to be more communication with patients.
