Last night our Wednesday night "dinner with peeps" group went to The OP in Clive. There were 5 of us last night and the parking lot was full when we arrived at 5:15. Megan took excellent care of us and was very attentive, in spite of having several tables. Three of our group got the amazing Wednesday special: 2 nine inch specialty pizzas plus an appetizer for $22! What a great deal. The other two of us got the turkey club from the oven roasted subs. All of the food was delicious. We'll be back!
I asked for grilled mushrooms on my taco salad. I'm glad they put them on raw so I could see what I would be eating. They put raw, slimy, dirty mushrooms. The piece in the second picture was COVERED IN DIRT! I could not believe that anyone would let that come into the kitchen. I sent it back and couldn't even order anything else I was so disgusted. We ordered GF pizza for pick up. They called later to say they were out of GF dough and if we would need to wait for manager to get more or order something else. We said we would wait. When we went to pick it up they didn’t charge us. Fabulous customer service, wasn’t expecting that!!
Food hit the spot. The iced water was tasty, Our server was very good. Atmosphere- the lighting at our table was very dark and hard to read the menu. And, the AC was cranked so It was cold in the restaurant.
