Osthoff Resort is a nightmare A group of friends went to the Osthoff resort for a getaway. The rooms were dirty and even after complaining they did not move us but instead sent a housekeeper, THREE hours later. The food is horrible. They have two restaurants, one a casual called Otto's. The food was greasy. The soup had dumplings that were the consistency of rocks and the desserts tasted old. Take me away! (To the Osthoff) What a lovely place for a weekend getaway! One hour north of Milwaukee in one of the prettiest little placest I know. I have experienced The Osthoff from every avenue -- work seminars, weddings, weekend stay, just dining, etc. and have NEVER had a bad experience. The grounds are lovely and the fare is similar to that of The Kohler Club as many of the staff (pulling from the same employment pool) have come from there. You won't be disappointed!
The Best Weekend Place I had a girls weekend there about 4 yrs ago and have been wanting to go back ever since. I am planning on it this year. We had a wonderful time and the room was great! We got the two bedroom suite and it couldnt of been better. The area and landscaping is enough to take your breath away. As far as the food, dont know what the previous writer's problem was, but we loved it and it was outstanding. It is more of a couples weekend, but we had a great time with the other things to do.
