Located near Dodger Stadium in Downtown Los Angeles, The Original Texas Barbecue King serves mouthwatering, melt-in-your-mouth, barbecue, all made with the finest ingredients. Barbecue King started out as the brainchild of Rod Daniels, using many of the recipes handed down to him by his mother, Lois Daniels. It was her Texas background and special family recipes that provided the basis for all of the food we make and the way we "slow walk" our meat. We take pride in preparing and serving such food to our customers.

Great food, bad service BBQ has really good food, but it takes forever to get served. They have one of the cheapest and best breakfasts in town, but they only serve it when they feel like it. The service is very unpredictable, but I would still go back because the food is that good.
Yummy BBQ, even my fiance from Texas thinks so! We had their beef ribs and smoked turkey. My only complaint is that the ribs were a teeny bit tough, but flavor, WOW! Such delicious flavor, everyone needs to try. I saw the cook making a 1lb. burger. It was HUGE. This is a really authentic Texas style joint complete with baked beans, old fashioned mac 'n cheese and greens. The eat in area is nothing fancy but the kitchen looked very clean. Best barbeque meat in Los Angeles Barbeque King has the best barbeque meats in L.A. We like to get the mixed grill -- ribs, sliced meat, hot dogs, etc. and take it home when we have company. Their prices are pretty reasonable. Their baked beans and potatoe salad are great, too. Staff is very friendly and helpful. PROS: Best tasting barbeque meat in Los Angeles CONS: none
