I miss breakfast places - you use to be able to go for a nice breakfast and leave full from a good meal and it’s few and far between now. The Pancake House is an oldie but a goodie that has updated itself to remain pleasant and enjoyable with great breakfast choices and a good atmosphere
The food definitely didn't taste as good as it has previously. It seemed like a lot of frozen goods were just unfrozen and heated appropriately for the foods, though my chicken itself and the sauce for the chicken and waffles was great, the waffles tasted freeze dried.
The quality seems to be slowly degrading. The Original Pancake House on Mcgillvary needs a good cleaning, food stains on windows and walls. Dust bunnies on all light fixtures and ceiling showing signs of needing to be dusted. Do not recommend this location!
