This was once a Ritz Carlton which is why the rating is above a 4 but it is definitely not a top place now. You will not find amenities like bath robes or slippers but mostly you may find bad service which you would never find at a Ritz Carlton. They called to confirm that we wanted a housekeeping service. As an avid and loyal Marriott Member it’s sad to see hotel drift away from the ideals of the Marriott brand, the most important to business travelers….. consistency! Their lounge and restaurant is indefinitely closed. They give you coupons for the Red Horse restaurant, but it’s loud and you can rarely get a seat at the bar. At 9:30pm they wouldn’t even permit takeaway. You’re left with zero options after a long day of business. It’s like staying at a courtyard at an Autograph collection price. After a good few years, I decided to return to the Opus Hotel. Unfortunately, the disappointment was—and remains—even greater than before. This is certainly not a 5-star hotel. There is no on-site restaurant or bar (though there are two restaurants located within the building). The breakfast service(the wait time for the sunny side-up eggs was 54 minutes!)—staffed by only a single waiter taking orders at tables set with tablecloths that had clearly already served several other guests before you—does not make for a very good ... read more
