I would not recommend this practice for hematology care. My experience involved poor communication, delayed treatment, and terrible customer service. After my initial visit, the office delayed the next steps in my care for over two months while repeatedly giving unclear explanations about approvals and paperwork. I ultimately went to another hematologist, and they were able to move things forward almost immediately. The phone support was also extremely frustrating. I would have died if I stayed with this place. They kept dragging their heels and sending me to ferry forms back and forth between the insurance and them. Telling me to call nonsense numbers that don’t exist and using me as a game of telephone with the insurance company. After weeks of this dance, not even starting treatment. The doctor said to me essentially “oh yeah I just don’t really like dealing with the insurance companies so I don’t do any of that”. Week after week these people did NOTHING. If you have a choice, RUN — don’t walk — away from this oncologist and this office. My fiancé had an extremely concerning PET scan in July with one of the highest SUV readings possible, yet critical diagnostic steps and treatment were delayed for months. A proper biopsy was not completed until October, and treatment did not begin until January. By that point, the cancer had spread throughout his body.
