My review is likely influenced by the traumatic birth I had. I felt like the doula assigned to me wasn’t super helpful. Her follow up was pretty dismal when promising sending me information. I had to remind her 2 and 3 times, granted she was dealing with a lot of stuff personally. I then was in labor for 36 hours ending in a c section, and I don’t think she provided any real help during any of it, probably because my husband was such great support and help. Like another recent reviewer, they did not call me for the initial appointment I had set and for which I had gotten confirmations. It was unclear whether I was to call them or that they would call me. But no one called me at the set time, and when I called them, there was no answer. I texted and got no response and certainly no apology.
Working with Mariah was an amazing and super positive experience. I was in labor for 35 hours and because of Mariah, I managed to actually have a really good time! Mariah kept us calm and happy throughout the L&D process. Once you sign on to work with Mariah she is in your corner - even well before the baby comes - she was extremely helpful with pregnancy, delivery, and baby-related questions big and small in the months leading up to birth -- from which hospital to deliver at to who makes the best onesies to how to manage Br... read more
I set up an appointment. They confirmed and even reminded me. They didn't call. They didn't text back. Just nothing. No contact which isn't promising for what you want in communication from a doula. Even if you're busy with another mother, a text is appreciated and appropriate here.
I highly, highly recommend Omaha Baby Nest. I'll say it one more time - HIGHLY recommend. :) If you are wondering whether it's worth the investment - it is, without question.
