My wife and I visited for my birthday and loved our room (12). Staff was extremely friendly. Will definitely be back and hope to stay in room 13 so we can possibly experience some paranormal activity.
A simple room in a building with a lot of character. You are getting exactly what's advertised. It is a historic building, with a history and construction consistent with its era and few changes to disturb that. It has a beautiful garden outside and balconies around two sides. If you are looking for a cozy, memorable stay in a unique hotel, this is it. If you are looking for the Ritz, you probable aren't in the right place.
Unique place to stay in AZ. Bisbee is a great escape from the broiling weather in the city. The Oliver house was super cozy and very clean. We stayed in room 13 which has a private bath and toilet, even so, we did use the communal shower and found it clean and comfortable. Had a few scares but I can't say for sure if it was ghosts or our own heebie jeebies. Nat Anderson if you're reading this you were quite a pleasant spectral roomie.
Stayed one night too long here. It was the worst. Hot rooms with no access to ac. Shared bathrooms with the entire hotel. Late disruptive ghost tours and strangers coming into your room. The hotel staff smoked all day and night outside our room and talked loudly. Hot humid rooms. I recommend staying anywhere but this place.
As a solo woman traveling, I felt very safe at this boutique hotel. Because it's a former lodging house, it's not set up like a normal hotel with a lobby open to the public. The exterior doors lock automatically which made me feel secure in knowing that only fellow hotel guests would be in the building and I was able to sleep soundly.
