I took my family on a Sunday evening for dinner. I looked at the menu and saw the wheelchair platter for 4 at $98.00, but we are a family of 5. I ordered the wheelchair platter for 5. We paid $153.00 for the platter, plus $10.00 for sweet tea. We had fried shrimp, fish, fried chicken, fried pork chops, mac and cheese, cold slaw, french fries, and hush puppies.

Unbelievable that anything could be this good – My friends took me here for dinner when I first got to town. Driving up, it's a little scary and in no way are you prepared for the experience you are about to undergo. I don't know where to even start because everything was so good. The hushpuppies are incredible. I'm not even fond of hushpuppies but I could live off these. Everything is incredible, right down to the best tarter & cocktail sauce you've ever tasted. This place puts my favorite to shame.

Old School Diner Well worth the trip! – Well Worth finding this gem of a place. Wow, you will never ever see a place like this, when you drive up you ask your self one question "should I go in" you may say no after seeing the "grounds." That's OK inside you will find the kindest people I have ever met. Chef Jerome Brown will make laugh, cry and carry on like a fool. You will welcome with open arms and know you are "home" and like family. Oh did I mention food we had the best Seafood Platter in the South BAR NONE! They call it the wheel chair platter for a good reason, fresh everthing, ribs, hush puppies, shrimp, osyters, fish and more. Low country boil, and always something special on the "board". They are only open Wen, Thur, Fri 5pm till 10 PM SAt and Sun 12 Noon till 10 PM Direction are easy, off I-95 exit 67 Take US17 south about 1 mile to Harris Neck Road take a left, about 6.5 miles to OLD SCHOOL DINNER ROAD just past a BIG SIGN for RV Camping, take a right at the very small sign, it's easy to miss so if you get to end of the road just turn around about 1 mile or so. They have beer and wine...NO CREDIT CARDS BE WARNED! CASH or approved check only!

The Old School Diner is an eclectic surprise. It is off the beaten path and not at all what you might expect. Go anyway. The food will melt in your mouth. Don't be surprised if you want to make a meal of the hush puppies! Take your time, enjoy the adventure. Chef Jerome does all of his own cooking and it is awesome. He visits every guest to inquire about your dining experience. Get your picture taken.
