Cottage pie gave our entire year level nightmares My school camp room was just a giant hall with bunk beds I was sad
An absolute historic gem!!! I’m lucky to have been able to stay within it. Bed was comfy, good pillows. It’s a much older building (that’s the literally the point), and the bathrooms are soooo gorgeous. Walls were thin but it’s fine. Anyone complaining about that needs to just stay somewhere lame like the ibis. Staff were helpful and nice, little breaky downstairs was amazing and such a privilege and a pleasure. Walking distance to Main Street of Beechworth. Loved it!!!
Have just returned from a super stay at The Old Priory, Beechworth. Ten of us stayed on the first night of a cycling tour of Beechworth, Myrtleford and Bright. The accomodation is basic but suited our needs. It's clean, there are ample bathrooms and it has a communal eating area. Bikes were locked in a secure shed. The Old Priory is a beautiful old building with history, it's quiet and centrally located.
I stayed here yesterday and it was not good at all. The beds were super uncomfortable I barely got any sleep. Barely any room or night stands to put my stuff anywhere I had to put everything on the floor. There were two small heaters in my room, “our room was massive” kids stomping from upstairs at 6am in the morning and a group of 20 year olds laughing and yelling at 3am. A wonderful venue for a large (30+ people, from 2 to 70 years) family long weekend. A beautiful, old historic building with plenty of bedrooms which had comfortable, crisp bedding and a heater in every room. Plenty of bathrooms and toilets. Stairs may be an issue for some people.
