The Inn was remodeled about six years ago with timber stained ceilings and earth tone decor where everything seems meticulously planned with an esthetic eye right down to the pictures on the wall. I can only speak to the queen rooms, as the kings were unavailable for my trip. They are decorated as described but limited in space. In full transparency, we haven’t stayed at the hotel yet, so I can’t speak to the accommodations or the overall hotel experience, and I’m sure the property itself is lovely. Unfortunately, however, my interaction with the front desk/phone staff left a very bad first impression. I called to inquire about making a reservation as part of a wedding room block and was met with an unnecessarily curt and rude response that I needed to contact the bride and groom to book. We stayed at the Old mill Inn for 2 nights (July 17th & 18th 2026). Our overall experience at this inn was exceptionally good. Initially we were a bit startled by the decor which is "industrial modern"-i.e. a bit stark! We were lucky enough to get a room as we booked last minute and the room we booked had 2 twin beds. If you are not familiar with modern industrial it means lots of blacks, greys and whites and exposed pipes with very little "fluff". Lovely renovated inn that retains the historic charm of the old mill. Fantastic breakfast and very hospitable and dedicated inn keeper.
My wife and I stayed at The Old Mill Inn while we were in Western Massachusetts for the Green River Festival, and it was the perfect place to stay! The inn is incredibly comfortable, charming, and welcoming. Our suite was spacious, spotless, and beautifully appointed, with plenty of room to relax after a day at the festival.
