Did you know that the welcome center has a beautiful garden? For a plant nerd like me this was heaven. I use an app called Seek that lets you scan and get the name of plants, bugs, and animals. Super fun in a place like this. I learned a lot of new plants and was a beautiful way to pass the time until our tour started. It was a nice walk and there were a few kitties to pet along they way. The home tour of Georgia O’Keeffe’s home in Abiquiú was everything we had hoped it would be and more. The museum has done an amazing job on the preservation of her home as well as educating their staff and tour guides. Our guide Katie was extremely knowledgeable, reverent, light hearted, and kind - exactly what you’d want from this tour. Thank you for such a special experience that we’ll never forget!
