Such a disappointment. I thought she could be trusted but my dear friend was fleeced in their time of grieving. Beware.
I used to love this store. It was like a thrift store and you got to dig through all the goods and I loved the bag sales. Now it’s overpriced curated displays. So disappointed. No need for me to go back.
My friend and I were visiting NOLA and instead of paying full price for things, we like to go thrifting in different cities to see what others have to offer. Anywho, we mosey into The Occasional Wife to check it out. Things are pretty, and we are enjoying ourselves. However, that is when the drama begins. The owner was irritated with some employees, so she began to lay into them and acted like Trump, all deranged. This place used to be my absolute favorite for a treasure hunt. Now they have removed 75% of their inventory from public view for a more Decluttered curated shopping experience. I used to always find something to come home with. Whether it was a book, painting, piece of furniture or random knickknack. Now you no longer have the opportunity to search for items you didn’t know you needed. Now it takes less than 10 minutes to see the entire store. No longer worth the drive out to Jefferson.
