On 06-17-2026, I wandered into an obscure little fine dining restaurant called "THE OAR RESTAURANT" in Vero Beach. The owner, formerly of Smokehouse BBQ Grill, now known as Cafe 66, has stepped into the realm of fine dining! I must say, from BBQ to this, what an amazing transformation Chef Lawrance has done. My husband and friends have wanted to try this restaurant for a while. It is a true hidden gem in Vero. The four of us ate our entire meals, which is rare for us. One of my friends had the blackened sea scallops, my husband ahd the pan seared wagyu sirloin, another fiend had the braised beef short rib, and I had the lobster tagliatelle. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners!
