Came in at 12 midnight and waited 8+ hours on the dirty hard chairs. They kept saying we'd be seen next, but turns out that the doctors will be in from 8 am. Shouldn't emergency have doctors 24 hours? How the triage people can stomach seeing people in pain in the waiting room must be a special skill. Here's a free advice: if triage deems it's not urgent, and can't put the patient on a bed, maybe you can send them home and just call them for the results or to come back if needed? That way they can at least rest on a comfy bed... read more
Have been here often for myself with copd. All staff have been wonderful but very flat out all the time.. Funding needs to improve dramatically.
This would have to be the most appalling, disgusting hospital I have ever visited. I was in agony and had to ask for pain relief about 10 times from various nurses. They all said they were coming back and would walk past me and see that I was in agony, yet they just kept on walking by. The staff here are rude, uncaring and absolutely in the wrong industry. If they can't even dispense a fricken tablet after you've asked numerous times and walk right by you, there is something definitely wrong.
