If I could give a NEGATIVE star, I would! Security woman was a BULLY and the rudest person I've ever encountered in my life. Folks working the ticket counter were also rude. I'll never recommend this place to anyone. The lights were not good either. Over priced. $97 for 3 adults and 1 child, for lights wrapped around trees in the parking lot and a toy train track. Save your money. Save your time. Avoid this place!!!

The seventy-five mile drive takes me from the heat of Southern summer to this mid-altitude oasis in the Blue Ridge mountains. I've always found these gardens well maintained and nicely curated with good color in most seasons. There is a pleasing lack of tourist gimmicks with the gardens feeling understated in a pleasing way. The visitor infrastructure is most pleasing and fits in well with a mountain theme - a nice use of wood and stone in public buildings.
