Dr. Hansel is very knowledgeable, personable, and easy to work with! He is very knowledgeable about health. The office staff are wonderful and very well organized. I would recommend Dr. Hansel to anyone.
I strongly suspect this clinic is deliberately sabotaging patients’ testosterone replacement therapy outcomes. It has become routine here to automatically add aromatase inhibitors (anastrozole, etc.) and other “protocol add-ons” to virtually every TRT patient — often at the very first follow-up, long before any evidence of elevated estradiol or actual symptoms (gynecomastia, water retention, mood issues, etc.). As someone visiting from Alabama, who knows nothing about public transport here + a non-user back home, it’s very confusing and stressful to navigate getting places at times. I took the light rail from Portland to Gresham and don’t realize the bus to Sandy (and eventually Mt. Hood) didn’t take card, like I was able to use on the light rail. If you're going to spend this kind of money you need to at least respect and enjoy your care team. Not to sure what's going on here. The care seemed spot on at the beginning. My UC symptoms (main reason for my vist) were lessened but no where near tolerable, paid over $1000 for blood tests that told me what I'm "allergic" to so we could eliminate those and not much improved. I seen Dr Hansel around January-February 2024 requesting a blood test and testosterone. He said i think a urine test would be best, i went with his suggestion to find out my hormones were BELOW the charts. I had 0 sex drive, 0 libido, falling asleep sitting up, or standing (and ALL DAY long), Hot flashes, severe anger outbursts and rage, post Pardum depression and anxiety.
