My aunt had fallen down and we were NOT notified until we physically went there (we live in long island) and found out she was in the hospital!!! Sickening.
Every review I read is not the experience my parent had! The rooms are mediocre at best. You have to supply your own TV and pay extra for cable and AC. My parents room did not have a refrigerator. Many times the room had a funny smell even the floor the room was on at times smelt funny. My parents clothes and person at times smelt funny. The place is not bad for what you pay. The activity director is fabulous!! Must be proactive for the safety of your loved ones!
My mother lived at the New Homestead for many years and enjoyed every moment of it. Although physically impaired, she made sure that she went down to the ballroom to participate in their many activities (especially Bingo). The staff was very helpfull, giving her assistance on a 24/7 basis. The hotel made provisions for medical assistance when needed. Her room was very confortable and she enjoyed the meals and daily snacks. Overall, given a choice, I would completely recommend this Assisted Living Hotel to everyone.
great place, caring personal. very happy with this place, great activities, and the food is good. My mom like kosher food... go figure
