I'd give 0 stars, but there were a few moments where my son enjoyed himself. I wouldn't trust the owner/camp guide with my child for the summer camp. She singled my son out the very first day, insinuating that he may be autistic, but he has adhd, and requires little to no assistance in school, or at any other camp he's attended. She broke the contract, by claiming she, and her half a day helper couldn't handle having him attend camp. Our tour guide spent a portion of the morning ride prepping us for the habitat and species we were visiting by showing us a PowerPoint and telling us stories about his experience and research involving the red-cockaded woodpecker. Went on 2 trips recently with the Nature Bus to see waterfowl. These were set up by VB Parks & Rec for the Winter Wildlife Festival. Suzanne made everyone feel comfortable and the guide, James Abbott, was absolutely phenomenal. He knew just where to look for the birds and could tell from quite a distance what we were looking at. A slide presentation on the bus prepared us to recognize what we would see. A great experience both times.
My husband & I had a wonderful time birding on the Eastern Shore as a VB Winter Wildlife activity. Suzanne & Gary did a fantastic job shuttling us around on their Nature Bus. They were fun & very informative! James Abbot did an amazing job pointing out the various birds & educating us about them. Thanks for a fun & educational day!!
