A great insight into World War II with interactive displays, in depth insight to history, artifacts, and video displays that absolute should be watched (specifically the interviews on the liberation from concentration camps). Be ready for a emotionally impactful experience. Can be done in a day but if you want to go deep, play for two days.
We really enjoy the museum, we stopped at another museum in San Diego. This museum really was much better and bigger. Having real veterans there was amazing. You do need a good few hours to see everything, it's definitely worth it. We're so blessed to have a generation of young men protect us from the tyranny of the Nazis and Japan . They had a holocaust, exhibit. It was very very emotional for me. I was brought up I Jewish Irish neighborhood and would see a lot of survivors of this tragedy.
If you’re looking for something fun and informative to do while in New Orleans, you should definitely check out the WWII museum, not only did me and my significant other have a wonderful time, we also got to learn about the history of every theater that WWII contained.
