When we arrived at the centre, we were greeted with warm and welcoming staff who gave us some places to visit for the remainder of our Roadtrip. The centre itself is fascinating, especially with the eel feeding and kiwi’s to view. The staff are very friendly and take their responsibility to keep the animals safe very seriously. Would visit again and would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area :)
Tolle Erfahrung! Zunächst erhielten wir Informationen zu den großen Aalen und durften diese auch selbst füttern. Danach schauten wir uns eine ganze Weile die 2 Kiwis an. Zum Abschluss drehten wir noch eine Runde durch die gesamte Anlage, wo wir uns verschiedene Fischarten, Axolotl und Schildkröten anschauten. Aber die Aale und Kiwis waren natürlich das Highlight. Absolute Weiterempfehlung!
Today was a memorable visit to feed the eels and kiwi. Well informed presenter. The reptiles and fish extremely well looked after
A fantastic place. We watched the eel feeding session, where the extremely knowledgeable staff member taught us many fascinating things about NZ longfin eels. Feeding and stroking the eels was a wonderful experience. We then went to see the two kiwi being fed. Both were clearly visible and we got an excellent close-up view of them feeding, running around and snoozing. A very special experience.
