After a recent car accident earlier in the year, I made the mistake of not properly nursing my injury. I was then referred to Dr. Ara & Dr. Ashley who have been nothing short of amazing. They are so attentive and knowledgeable, making me aware of how much the pain I was feeling was both attributed not only to my physical but mental wellbeing. I like that they incorporate different healing practices to help get you back to feeling like yourself.
I first met Dr. Ara when I needed help with my diasasis recti 1 year postpartum from my 37.5 week twins. 14.5 lbs of baby will do that to you. I was having back pain and intense discomfort in my abdomen; my OB-GYN gave me a list of plastic surgeons to repair the 1.5 finger-width divide in my abdominal wall. I came here and saw Dr. Feliz for an ankle injury and I was having difficulty with volleyball. I was having pain when running and jumping. When I was at MTI I learned specific exercises to strengthen around the areas of my injury. These exercises helped me get stronger and improve my game and prevent injury. I also learned how to take proper care of my body when I get tight and over use it. Overall my experience was great and Dr. Feliz would explain things to me, took her time, was patient with me, and helped me understand.
I came to Dr. Ara with a tore up knee. Playing hockey and golf was not possible until she got me back on track. Dr. Ara not only got me back playing but made me stronger then before. She also gave me the tools to maintain on my own. I have sent her many referrals and will continue to do so.
